This article assumes that you are using genuine Sawgrass ink cartridge and that the expiry date displayed on the cartridges has not passed.

In order to resolve the Service Code 29500, we recommend performing the following with the printer powered off:

  • Move the print head to the middle of the printer. To do so, remove the power cable during the printer startup as the print head is not capped during this process
  • Check whether the air purge detection switch is damaged and press it a couple of times to confirm it is not stuck and is in the correct position.

  • Press and depress the two white air release switches a couple of times at the rear of the print head

  • Leave the printer powered off for a least 30 minutes
